Wheeler Zamaroni is the exclusive manufacturer of TerraPave,
a natural resin pavement specifically designed for decorative
pathways. TerraPave is a very environmentally friendly product
incorporating tree resin ingredients, containing no petroleum-based
additives. Aggregates mixed with the TerraPave emulsion will
retain their natural base color, while providing unsurpassed
all-weather surfaces.
Installation takes place using standard asphalt industry
equipment and manpower. Contractors thoroughly enjoy placing
this material as it is cold applied and allows for longer
working time than traditional asphalt paving.
Resin Pavement has continued to hold strong even in steep
slope situations such as this vineyard with grades often exceeding
20%. Erosion control is successful without the need for petroleum-based
products. TerraPave provides the ideal balance between aesthetic
beauty, durability and environmental sensitivity.
This long distance photo depicts how well Resin Pavement
blends in to the surrounding hills. Our client needed an all
weather surface which would withstand the rigors of harvest
and year round agricultural activities without defacing the
hillside with asphalt.
TerraPave is produced at our facility and shipped to jobsites
in a ready-to-install format. TerraPave is mixed and installed
at ambient temperatures and eliminates the need for heated
transportation and storage, further reducing the dependence
on fossil fuels.
TerraPave is frequently placed to provide all-weather accessible
surfaces in natural areas, helping to meet Americans with
Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) in areas
where petroleum based pavement materials are not permitted.
